A note from Max.

I started Max’s because property maintenance, the way it’s most often done, didn’t sit well with me.

Too many of the homes I’d see — beautiful houses, considered gardens — were being looked after by people who turned up when they felt like it, did the work to “good enough,” and left the gate swinging on the way out. The owners were tired of chasing. The gardens looked tired, too.

So I built Max’s to be the quiet opposite. A small team you come to recognise on the street. A standard published openly. A photographic note after every visit. A predictable thirty-minute arrival window — never “sometime in the morning.” The small things noticed and resolved before they become anything.

Whether yours is a Herne Bay villa with a magnolia that wants an experienced hand, a Devonport bungalow with a hedge that has run away, or a Remuera section that needs a digger and a fresh start — we hold each home to the same standard. We sign for it.
